Art Kozyrovicius, MPA
Principal, Amberwise Advisory
Art is a healthcare finance and operations executive who modernizes systems, elevates analytics, strengthens financial performance and builds high-engagement teams, bringing clarity, stability and measurable results to complex environments.
He has more than 25 years of leadership across academic medical centers, integrated delivery networks and multi-hospital systems ranging from $1B to $14B in revenue, with deep knowledge of healthcare financial processes and systems, data management, analytics, business intelligence and performance improvement.
Most recently he was Senior Director of Finance Systems at Stanford Health Care, a $7.8B academic medical center. He led financial systems administration, data governance, analytics and the Workday Financials implementation, delivered on time and on budget, and facilitated the recovery of more than $600M in federal COVID-19 funding.
Earlier, he led corporate business intelligence and decision support for Dignity Health, a $14B, 40-hospital system; served as Vice President of Finance Operations at Crozer Keystone Health System and CFO of its Springfield Hospital; and spent 18 years at NewYork-Presbyterian, rising from internal audit to director of corporate finance systems and payroll for a 23,000-employee academic medical center.
His teams consistently post top-quartile engagement, including a score of 90 out of 100 at Stanford Health Care.
What sets Art apart
Where finance, technology, operations and strategy meet
Few leaders combine analytics, operational insight and systems expertise in one career. That combination is what Art brings to every engagement.
Roots in hospital operations
Art began his healthcare career in operations, coordinating a hospital anesthesiology department alongside the operating room. He still knows the pace clinical teams work at, and he designs business processes that let caregivers stay focused on patients instead of paperwork.
The whole system in view
He sees how processes, systems and people depend on one another, and aligns them to move the organization forward. His approach is systematic and thorough, grounded in a firm command of the facts and the data.
A bridge between teams
He works comfortably with clinicians, finance staff, engineers and boards, translating between technical and non-technical communities. That is often what decides whether a modernization effort succeeds.
